John Wildman is a multi-faceted presence in the entertainment world, known for his work as a film and film festival publicist, consultant, filmmaker, journalist, and critic.
Currently, Wildman is the publicist and consultant for a number of national regional film festivals, including; the Dallas International Film Festival, Tallgrass International Film Festival, Oxford FF, Women Texas FF, Harlem International FF, Indie Memphis FF, La Costa FF, Iowa Independent FF, EARTHxFilm, the Holly Web festival, and Sidewalk FF. He is a host on The Daily Buzz NPR broadcast reporting from Sundance, Toronto, and Cannes, and is the managing editor and lead columnist of Festworks.com. His feature film directorial debut, the grindhouse art-horror thriller THE LADIES OF THE HOUSE was released to critical acclaim in 2015, and his short film, THE MONEY STORE is currently screening on the film festival circuit.
Wildman was the Senior Publicist for the New York Film Festival, New Directors/New Films, the Chaplin Award Gala, and the Director of Press and Public Relations for the American Film Institute. He was a contributor to Film Comment.com and Film Threat, among other publications prior to that, including Movie City News and Moving Pictures Magazine.com. Wildman also wrote and produced the Vision Awards for several years, which aired on the ION and PAX Networks and benefitted Retinitis Pigmentosa International.
